How can Africa balance its growing energy needs with the transition to renewables? How should this be supported? What impact will this have on Europe? These were some of the questions discussed at the roundtable, facilitated by Dr. Thomas Leeb, Director of the HSF Brussels office.

Following insightful Welcome remarks by HSF chairperson Markus Ferber, MEP, Dr Jakkie Cilliers shared research insights from his African Futures and Innovation Team at the Institute for Security Studies in Pretoria, with a focus on its recent report on Africa's energy future.
