It was a fascinating exchange with South African Deputy Finance Minister Ashor Sarupen and his team, Prof Tania Ajam from the School of Public Leadership at Stellenbosch University, and Prof Jaap de Visser, Dullah Omar Institute at the University of the Western Cape.

The decision-makers discussed current developments of municipal governments in South Africa and potential solutions in a practice-oriented discussion with renowned experts from longstanding partner institutions of the Hanns Seidel Foundation.
