It was a full house at our Hanns Seidel Foundation Munich Head Office, listening to African voices and expertise on how to adapt development cooperation to new challenges.
Markus Ferber, MdEP, Chairman of the Hanns Seidel Foundation, and Tanja Gönner, CEO of the Federation of German Industries (BDI), provided Welcome words, followed by Jakkie Cilliers, Chair of the ISS Board of Trustees and Head of the African Futures and Innovation (AFI) Programme, Institute for Security Studies, Pretoria, South Africa, who gave his research-based input on „Global power shifts: Africa in a changing world“.

During their visit, the African delegation had the opportunity to meet with Ambassador Rainer Rudolph, Vice Chairman of the Munich Security Conference, at the Hanns Seidel Foundation head office in Munich.
The participants truly valued the informative, frank exchange which was dedicated to an important, timeous question: How can trust in the global governance system be strengthened?
