Special launch seminar
Africa's tomorrow: a platform of hope and potential

After many months of work, longstanding Hanns Seidel Foundation partner African Futures & Innovation at the Institute for Security Studies will launch its enterprising new data platform. Join us for the event with a special introductory statement by South African President Cyril Ramaphosa.

An enterprising data platform leads the way in helping Africa overcome its human security challenges and achieve its vast development potential. Integrated forecasts cover 14 sectors for all countries and regions, following the African Union’s Agenda 2063 timeline. Insights are grounded in academic literature and use benchmarks to map ambitious but realistic forecasts that are regularly updated.

The initiative builds on over a decade of data analysis by the ISS African Futures and Innovation Unit. Using the International Futures (IFs) modelling platform, the website is a significant public resource for evidence-based policy making, capacity building and good governance. Visit the site at futures.issafrica.org.

This seminar is co-hosted by the ISS and Daily Maverick.
