Partnering with highly motivated experts and practitioners from different institutions

The diverse engagements over several days include meetings and workshops with representatives from our expert partner team "Justice and Violence Prevention" at the Institute for Security Studies, from the South African Police Service, the City of Cape Town, and the Government of the Western Cape, as well as other practitioners from a variety of institutions.

Hotspot policing

Hotspot Policing Workshops with the provincial and City of Cape Town LEAP commanders and South African Police Service station commanders offered valuable opportunities to engage and reflect, to analyse and strategize.

Participants discussed findings from the joint pilot project and working towards a more targeted approach in a complex, challenging environment.
