In partnership with the Federation of German Industries and the German Africa Foundation we co-hosted this productive panel discussion on the continent’s development prospects, with great speakers and a large audience.

The receptive, engaged audience including diverse international experts and decision makers appreciated the thought provoking welcome words by Wolfgang Niedermark, Federation of German Industries, and very informative contributions by excellent speakers, among them

- H.E. Gina Ama Blay, Ambassador of Ghana in Germany and

- Stefan Rouenhoff. Member of the German Bundestag and Chair of the Africa working group of the  CDU/CSU Parliamentary Group 

- Jakkie Cilliers, Chairperson of the Institute for Security Studies

- Heike Bergmann, Voith Hydro

Hanns Bühler, Representative of the Hanns Seidel Foundation in Southern Africa, shared insights from the Foundation's work perspective as well.

The lively, productive discussion was facilitated by Sabine Odhiambo, German Africa Foundation.
