Metro Police Recruits Training

A new Civic Education pilot project with the City of Cape Town Metro Police was just concluded successfully. Metro Police recruits participated in a 3-day tailor made Civics Academy course, gaining insights they value highly.

Based on the educational material of our Civics Academy, the course was specifically developed for this purpose. It included sessions on the Constitution, the Rule of Law, and Active and Responsible Citizenship, amongst others. Facilitated by a renowned expert, the interactive classes were welcomed by the participants. They expressed that they valued the learnings both as civil servants and as South African citizens themselves. The course content may be incorporated into the curriculum going forward, which is being considered now.
