How to build trustful partnerships between teachers, police officers and young people?

How to empower pupils through communication skills and deescalation techniques to protect themselves in critical situations?

How to facilitate collaborations on violence prevention in schools?

A context specific approach is necessary, says experienced Manenberg High School principal Cameron Williams.

Productive, joint interactive workshops on these questions were carried out in the Western Cape and Gauteng with teachers, representatives of Community Policing Forums as well as South African Police Service, Metro and provincial officials.
