School safety adaptation workshops

At 2-day School Safety adaptation workshops with ISS Africa in the Western Cape and Gauteng, Bavarian Police experts presented a youth school intervention programme used in Bavaria. Participants discussed how to adapt it to the South African context.

During the productive 2-day workshops in Cape Town and Pretoria, highly engaged and committed teachers and principals from two pilot schools in each province and representatives from the education departments as well as the South African Police Service worked together with colleagues from Germany on violence prevention strategies for schools.
