The 2022 Western Cape Seasonal Schools for Councillors have started in George. Central Karoo and Garden Route District councillors discussed how public representatives can best fulfil their mandate through ethical leadership, which obstacles they face and how to overcome them.

The councillor schools are held in partnership with the Stellenbosch University School of Public Leadership and the Department of Local Government in the Western Cape and are conceptualised as a multi-party forum dedicated to learning about ethical leadership and effective oversight in the public space. Taking place in many districts of the Province, they unpack the values contributing to servant public leadership and ethical decision-making.
