The interest was really big in the seminar we held with our partners from the Justice and Violence Prevention Program at the Institute for Security Studies and with the Safety and Violence Initiative at UCT in Cape Town.

Disturbing crime stats released

The seminar took place just one day after the new crime statistics had been revealed - they showed a disturbing continuation of the trends that saw an increase in the numbers of murders and other serious crimes, yet again.

Dr. Andrew Faul from our partner project, the Jstice and Violence Prevention Programm at the Institute for Security Studies, was one of the engaging panelist, together with speakers from the Office of Inclusivity and Change and the Safety and Violence Initiative at UCT.
