After a successful pilot last year, we’re supporting the training of 28 more City of Cape Town School Resource Officers over 2 weeks to deliver YES SA! Violence Prevention Training Courses. Backed by the Western Cape Department of Education, the program will roll out in 6 priority schools in 2025.

A course was developed with local experts and practitioners, specifically for the South African context, drawing on the experience of violence prevention in schools programs in Bavaria (Germany) as well. The Youth Energy Safety YES SA! Training Manual used in the workshops is the outcome of an intensive consultation process with diverse relevant South African stakeholders over many months.
