Agriculture creates jobs, drives exports, and strengthens local businesses—making it a powerful engine for economic growth. Supporting the sector means investing in people, innovation, and opportunity.

Agriculture is about far more than production. It’s about trade, innovation, technology, and building resilient value chains. To unlock its full potential, we must ensure that the right skills, the right technology, and the right support reach our farms and agricultural enterprises.

Building on the longstanding partnership between Bavaria and the Western Cape, we are proud to support initiatives that will shape the future of the sector, including:

* The establishment of an agricultural start-up hub

* Agricultural student exchange programmes

* The development of modern, industry-relevant curricula

Together, we are cultivating the next generation of agricultural leaders and strengthening a sector that is vital to sustainable growth and prosperity.
