That was the theme of the hybrid Annual Evidence-Based Policing Conference South Africa, which just took place in Cape Town with high-level decision-makers, experts, and diverse stakeholder representatives among the speakers and participants.

Seasonal Schools for Councilors are being held in different districts of the Western Cape. The multi-party schools are co-hosted by the Western Cape Department of Local Government and the Stellenbosch University School of Public Leadership, with support by the Bavarian State Chancellery and the Hanns Seidel Foundation,

At the African Futures Conference dedicated to this theme, foresight thought leaders, practitioners and young change-makers from the continent and beyond gathered in Pretoria and online to discuss pathways to a more prosperous, safe future for the people of Africa. Hundreds of participants joined the sessions on foresight research, policy recommendations, and practical projects facilitating agency and growth on individual, institutional, community and societal level.

This was a topic of a public event we just co-hosted with the School of Economics and Finance at the University of the Witwatersrand and the School's student team in Johannesburg.
