Against the backdrop of the partnership between Bavaria and the Western Cape, the HSF, in cooperation with the Institute for Security Studies, organised an exchange programme on service oriented law enforcement and evidence based policing.
Lots of insights and good ideas were shared at this online seminar on coalitions, co-hosted with our partner teams at the Catholic Parliamentary Liaison Office and the Dullah Omar Institute at the University of the Western Cape.
South African Police Service and other law enforcement officers, officials from the Western Cape Government and the Presidency of the Republic of South Africa as well as key NGO representatives participated in this event organised jointly with the Western Cape Police Ombudsman and the Institute for Security Studies.
The inaugural edition of this new journal was published recently by the Zimbabwe Human Rights NGO Forum, the University of Zimbabwe and the University of Cape Town together with our Democratic Governance and Rights Unit (DGRU) partner team.
It has been a great honour to sign partnership agreements with the Western Cape Government and the City of Cape Town to promote safety partnerships and evidence based policing. Our cooperations also facilitate capacity building in local government and research on key municipal challenges.
